Lexx has now retired from the show scene as his coat has started to shade and his tabby markings have become less defined as he has matured, due to this Lexx would be marked down against the other colours also he is now a working stud so I don’t wish to unsettle him as he has such a gentle nature and is producing kittens of good strong type my dream of getting him to Grand Champion status has faded but he has the title of Champion and he has been a pleasure to show.

Esaya Zahara Of Elmarlay.
“Zahara”

Elmarlay Birmans - Birman Cat Breeders in West Midlands UKZahara’s Show Career.

Within Zahara’s Show career she has done really well and I am so pleased with her progress. Zahara handles really well for the judges and enjoys all the attention but she really hates the travelling, after 5 shows I have decided to retire her as the task of cleaning her up when we get to the show hall is immense. She has either been sick or has salivated so much that her coat looks like she has just been bathed, not a good look!

However short her show career has been she has done her bit for the SiElmarlay Birmans - Birman Cat Breeders in West Midlands UKberian progression within GCCF.

In her honour she has achieved the following,

5 Merits

7 – 1st Placings

3 – 2nd Placings

2 – 3rd Placings

Elmarlay Birmans - Birman Cat Breeders in West Midlands UKAnd not forgetting her great day at the Semi Long Hair Cat Association Annual Show on the 21st March. Zahara achieved her 3rd Merit a 1st & 2 x 2nd placings in her side classes.

The Triumph of the day was when Zahara was judged to be BEST ASSESSMENT IN SHOW

Brooke is Owned by my Mother and I hope she will be her 1st show cat as she has followed me around for a few years as a spectator and has shared many happy days along the way. It only seemed fair that she should have the opportunity to have a go at showing herself.

Brooke thankfully has taken after her dads laid back nature and not her mothers can’t keep still for a minute one. Brooke is the Great grand daughter of Ella and is Ocean’s Grand Daughter and as you can see she follows the water theme, as her mother is River.
