"ELLA"

Ella was my introduction to Birmans the cat that started it all. Ella is a very independent and wise lady who is very loving and gentle. I owe this girl so much as without her I would not have bred the rest of the Elmarlay cats.

Ella’s importance to me is shown within my GCCF prefix, as I took the 'EL' from her name to symbolise her importance to my breeding. So thank you Ella.

Ella's Pedigree is quite traditional as it is made up of pure seal & blue lines she has many famous cats behind her name.

Ella retired from maternal duties in 2007 after producing another quality daughter. Miya along with Lunar (Oceans daughter) will continue Ella's breed line on for future generations.

ELMARLAY ENCHANTRESS MIYA (13c1)

"MIYA"

Miya is Ella's daughter from her litter with Ch Sucette Mister Softee. Miya is a lovely seal point girl with such an expression that enchants you into falling for her, hence her name. I have wanted to keep a seal girl for some time that carries both blue and chocolate and this year I got my wish.

Miya is growing up to be a chip off the old block, she certainly is her mothers daughter she has the same inquisitive nature and independence. Looking into Miyas eyes is like looking into her mothers eyes when she was a kitten seven years ago.

ELMARLAY OCEAN BREEZE (13c2)

“OCEAN”

Ocean was the only female kitten in Ella’s first litter and just had to stay a decision I have never regretted. Ocean is a laid back and uncomplicated cat who adores everyone.

Sadly 2008 was not to be a good year for Ocean, as she developed complications late in pregnancy and had to be spayed. Ocean therefore has retired from maternal duties a task that she adored and a sad loss to Elmarlay.

Ocean has produced 11 kittens all with stunning type and temperaments who we are proud to say are Elmarlay cats. Oceans will join her mother in retirement. Her Daughters will continue her breed line so all is not lost. Thank You my Beautiful Girl you were the 1st to carry the Elmarlay name but your influence will continue for future generations.

CHAMPION ELMARLAY LUNAR MOON (13c4)

"LUNAR"

Lunar is our star !!! Lunar has many achievements; her most memorable has to be her “Best In Show Female Kitten” win at the Birman Cat Clubs 2005 show this was only her 2nd show and speechless is an understatement !!

Lunar has followed this up by gaining her champion status in three consecutive shows before her 1st birthday and is my 1st home bred champion and also the 1st champion I have owned.

Lunar is Ocean’s daughter from her 1st litter and Ella’s grand daughter and has inherited there laid back nature.

Esaya Rising Phoenix (13c5)

"Phoenix’

Introducing Phoenix as she known to her friends, my long awaited red girl. Phoenix when older will contribute to the next stage of my red breeding program. Phoenix is a sweet uncomplicated cat who adores attention from humans or cats she really is not fussed as long as someone is taking notice of her.

Another big Thank You to Audrey Saye of Esaya Birmans for entrusting this sweetie to my care I will treasure her dearly.

All Blood typing has been completed by UC Davis laboratory by swab testing further information can be found on their website.

2007 has seen two lads join us both boys stole my heart and it is hoped that their influence on my breeding will bring many happy and healthy babies to Elmarlay.

Lexx and Brodie have both been DNA Colour tested for colours carried, the results have confirmed that Lexx and Brodie both carry Blue & Chocolate. The DNA Colour Tests have also been completed by UC Davis please refer to their Website for further information.

Cedamadhatter Dark Apollo (13c1)

“BRODIE”

Brodie to his friends. Brodie is a big strong lad who combines a very distinctive line within his pedigree of pure Seal & Blues lines on his Mothers side and the newer Chocolate and Lilac lines on his Fathers side. Brodie is one of the last kittens sired by the late Champion Zaparta Solomon who was owned by Sue Clowes of Zachini fame.

Sue has been my friend and mentor for the last four years and I am indebted to her for all her support. I also thank Edna Morris of Cedamadhatter for allowing Brodie to join the ranks of Elmarlay. Brodie is not a happy lad on the show bench so sadly he has retired as he found the whole show experience stressful. So he is going to stay at home and mind all the local wild life instead.

Esaya Siouxwarrior (13c15)

“Lexx”

Lexx to his friends. Lexx is quite unique as Red Tabbies are not seen very often. I saw this lad at Audrey’s home and well what can be said he blew me away and after careful consideration Lexx had to be part of the Elmarlay tribe.

Lexx I hope will reintroduce the Red series to Elmarlay but also extend my Tabby lines. He is a real purr box and we hope to show Lexx through 2007 & 2008 and show him off. I sincerely thank Audrey for parting with this lovely lad and for giving me the opportunity to love and adore him.

Lexx has been confirmed by DNA swab testing to be a Red Tabby. This test has been completed as some breeders had felt Lexx was in fact a Red Point. Elmarlay are Pleased to confirm that Lexx is in fact a Red Tabby and we look forward to when he is old enough to produce his 1st litter; it should prove to be a rainbow of colours!
